Anna Reinert


Anna Reinert – born in 1979 in Gdańsk, Poland. Alumnus of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, diploma with honors at the Maciej Świeszewski Painting and Drawing Studio. In 2011 she defended her PHD theses in visual arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk where she currently works as a lecturer of Painting and Drawing Basics Workshop. She deals with painting and illustration. Laureate of numerous awards and honorable mentions in, amongst others, the President of Gdańsk Award for Young Artists (Nagroda Prezydenta Miasta Gdańska dla Młodych Twórców w Dziedzinie Kultury) 2003, Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Young Poland Scholarship (Młoda Polska) 2006, the President of Sopot Scholarship for Artists (2011), Franciszka Eibish Foundation Award contest (2004), Gazeta Wyborcza Storm of the Year (Sztorm Roku) Award in the category of Visual Arts 2011. She presented her works at numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad in, amongst the others, The ŁAŹNIA Centre for Contemporary Art, ASPN Galerie in Leipzig, Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art, Wyspa Institute of Art in Gdańsk, Galeria Bielska BWA, Museum of Architecture in Wrocław, Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków MOCAK. Her works can be found in the collection of National Museum in Gdańsk.
